THE PROJECT
Three ways
into cinema.
The work includes an animated call for films, a New Year greeting, a location film and the Forum des images membership campaign. The 2015 location film was built around matching camera movements through the passage and its three venues, with a cinema DCP and a web version delivered in January 2015.
The graphic work extends that shared identity into the public space: a large collage of film characters, with vertical and printed variations.

A collage of film characters designed for the glazed partition on the Rue du Cinéma. The adhesive artwork was prepared for a surface measuring 4.15 × 2.875 metres.
Developed in late 2015 and approved for production in January 2016, the composition brought the three venues together under the line “Trois visions du cinéma”. UGC handled printing and installation, with iDzif as the production supplier.

Other proportions.
Two vertical totem artworks extend the collage. A square composition was also prepared for a printed bag in January 2016.
The bag artwork carries the Rue du Cinéma title and the logos of UGC Ciné Cité Les Halles, Forum des images, the City of Paris and the Bibliothèque du cinéma François Truffaut.
