THE PROJECT
A little
kitchen magic.
For Julie Andrieu’s series 10 leçons pour réussir…, I designed a graphic identity and opening sequence that bring live action, animated kitchenware and expressive typography together.
Working with Carmin, I developed the project from logo and type research to the title storyboard, animation and compositing. The brief called for something playful and approachable, with a visual language that could change with each recipe.
That flexibility became part of the delivery: a set of editable motion graphics templates for the titles, opening sequence and closing cards.

01 / A MODULAR GRAPHIC PACKAGE
Made for
the edit.
The series needed a consistent identity with room for different ingredients, dishes and colours. I built the graphics in After Effects and delivered them as Motion Graphics Templates (.mogrt), with the useful controls exposed in Premiere Pro.
The editor can change colours, select backgrounds, switch graphic elements on or off, and adjust the outline around Julie directly in the edit, without opening After Effects. The same principle carries through the titles, opening sequence and closing cards, so each episode can have its own palette.
Three short demonstrations in Premiere Pro. Each one loops during playback.

02 / LOGO & TYPE RESEARCH · MAY 2022
Finding
the flavour.
The early boards explore how a pan, a pot or a speech bubble could turn the number 10 into a recognisable cooking identity. Bold lettering, handwritten accents and small graphic flourishes give the series its playful tone.
Type studies test recipe titles and ingredient lists at different weights and proportions. These are development boards from May 2022, showing the alternatives explored before the final package.
Three logo directions. Pans, pots and a kitchen crest: three proposed ways to frame the series title.
Finding the mark. A broader search through cooking symbols, lettering, flourishes and colour palettes.
Testing the typography. Recipe titles and ingredient lists, compared across different typefaces and weights.
